'''Bramalea  Bus''' was a dial-a-bus service that began on August 13th 1973 and served the "satellite city" of Bramalea in Chinguacousy Township, and continued after the township was merged into Brampton on January 1, 1974. The dial-a-bus concept was pioneered in Ontario by GO Transit in 1970, and became a popular method of transit delivery for smaller communities that a standard fixed-route system may not have been able to serve adequately. In Bramalea, the service was launched in 1973 under [[MiWay#Ed_Dowling|Ed Dowling]], with some funding was provided by the MTO to cover some of the operating costs. Service began as a four-zone system with one bus covering the area in each zone, operating from the Bramalea City Centre. Passengers would call the central dispatch office an hour ahead to request a bus at their house. The dispatcher would then relay the information to the bus, which would show up at their door to pick them up for a fare. The passenger could request to be let off anywhere in their zone, or stay on and eventually be brought to Bramalea City Centre where they could transfer to another zone's bus<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N08lSJj426w People On The GO (1973) - Ontario Ministry of Transportation & Communications video]</ref>.

Under the newly formed Brampton Transit, dial-a-bus operations in the Bramalea area were replaced in 1976 with a typical fixed-route transit system, due to the city size expanding and ridership increasing beyond what a dial-a-bus service could handle cost-effectively (route maps at the time stated that beyond 2000 riders a day, dial-a-bus costs started to balloon).
