GO Transit 2267-2286
GO Transit 2267-2286 are MCI D4500CT buses ordered in December 2004 and acquired in June 2005. This series replaced buses 1400-1416. All models are 45 feet in length with seating for 57 individuals. All D4500CTs of this series are equipped with wheelchair lifts and have two wheelchair positions through seat adjustment.
These are the first D4500CTs delivered to GO Transit. They sport a redesigned front end, flush-mounted windows and new high engine vents. This series also introduced a new temperature management system through a digital Carrier Transicool display. They are all equipped with Jake brakes.
Upon arrival, these buses were placed at the Newmarket GO Garage and the Barrie satellite garage. They can now be found at any division.
Metrolinx issued a tender in February 2011 for the refurbishment of up to 43 coaches. MTB, Eastway Refurbishing, and SN Diesel submitted bids with Eastway coming in as the lowest. The 43 coach contract was awarded to Eastway and includes some buses of the previous series.
