Metro Transit (Minnesota) 7100 was a Gillig Low Floor HEV 40' (G19D102R2) bus built in 2002. This is Gillig's first low floor hybrid electric bus, Metro Transit's first hybrid bus, and the first hybrid bus to operate in Minnesota. This bus, along with 7101 and 7102, were the first hybrid buses in service in Minnesota.

This, along with 7101, 7102, and the 7105 series, were ordered to connect light rail riders to destinations along Nicollet Mall.[1]

7100 entered service in late December 2002.[2]
