Optima Bus was a manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses based in Wichita, Kansas, USA. It was established in 1998 after Chance Coach was sold to American Capital Strategies .
On August 21, 2006, American Capital sold Optima to North American Bus Industries, which announced that the Kansas assembly plant would be closed on August 8, 2007.
Optima is now a brand of North American Bus Industries, Inc..
