Palm Tran 8101-8114 were Grumman Flxible 870 (40096-8-1) buses. These buses were built in June of 1981 and delivered in February 1982. These buses did not have wheelchair lifts, just kneeling. These buses were acquired from Broward County Transit in late 1995. They were purchased due to Flxible going bankrupt, leaving Palm Tran unable to provide new buses for the official start of Palm Tran in August 1996. These buses were repainted into the new livery introduced by Palm Tran in 1996 and were retired in 1999.
