Scania Touring
The Scania Touring is a luxury touring coach for the global market. It is a colaboration with Higer Bus of Suzhou, China with assembly at Higer's plant. Scania has been working with Higer since 2005, and in 2006 a production line was open for this model. The Touring was launched on October 15, 2009 at Busworld Kortrijk. A 13.7 metre, 3 axle version was launched in September at the 2010 IAA Nutzfahrzeuge.
The bus features an all-steel monocoque body which feature's Scania's signature styling. The front has a blacked out panel under the windscreen and the triangular headlights have LED trim. The Touring has sculoted fenders that dip toward the lower front. It is available in two trim levels: Comfort and Premium. The Touring saw the launch of the new fully automated Scania Opticruise transmission in a bus, which boast an improvment in fuel economy.
