Photo replacements

Please stop replacing everyone else's photos. Many are low quality with low lighting. Many people have worked hard all I ask is just leave the TTC page alone. If you have photos you would like to upload, check and see what space is available. That is all we ask as many of us have spent lots of time working on these pages. TTC9701 20:43 April 13th, 2015

Just to let you know you are not supposed to replace pre-existing photos on rosters with your own. I suggest you take a few minutes to read through the relevant sections on the forum to better understand. Thanks. D40LF 16:52, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
You are failing to adhere to what has been told to you. Please stop replacing existing photos. You must read the rules. You may be at risk of losing privileges on the Wiki.TTC9701 19:31, 18 April 2015

Uploading photos

I have reverted two images that you uploaded and replaced existing images. The images in question were maps for TTC routes 108 and 129. Well I don't disagree with you uploading new versions please use a different file name so that we don't loose any historical information. Thanks. D40LF 16:34, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

You are still replacing the previous images, so any pages that link to that image will now link to your new image and not the correct image. D40LF 22:20, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Further instead of just re-uploading the images why don't you use a different name? Use an -a, -b, etc as per the naming conventions? D40LF 22:23, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Moderator Warning

Please follow the replacement and naming conventions mentioned above or you may lose editing privileges. Thanks! --Kevin L 13:33, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

This is your second and final warning about your images.--Kevin L 10:57, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Images on the wiki

Please be advised that there are standards on the wiki for images. First of there are photographic standards, which prevents blurry photos with bad backlighting from being uploaded. Also for maps you need to put the date in the photo title, not just the word 'current'. Obviously the moderator warning has had no impact on you and therefore the issue has been forwarded to the moderators for their action. D40LF 01:50, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Issues with photo uploading

Hello there,

I have noticed you are one of a few members who have recently been involved in uploading substandard photos and getting into edit wars with other users regarding photos, most often in the YRT pages. Let me remind you that the point of having photographs on the Wiki is to show an example of the vehicle, not for members to have their own personal photo gallery. The only time a photo should be uploaded to the Wiki is if the vehicle does not already have one, or replacing an existing photo with a substantially better quality one.

The edit wars were getting to a point that an administrator asked me to step in and provide a high-quality photo of 304 before the page would be locked in order to stop the edit wars. Clearly that 24 hour page protection was not a sufficient warning. I've also been in conversation with other editors who are fed up with the constant edit wars and poor-quality photos being uploaded in recent days. Consider this another warning from a fellow member before I ask administrators to take action against your account.

Like what is mentioned above, If you replace a thumbnail, it should be the same quality or better that what is already there. If you want to replace a thumbnail it might be a good idea to ask the person that put it there first if it can be replaced; avoiding a potential conflict and edit war. It's fine to upload a couple of images of the same bus as examples, but not 5-10 all at once. --Kevin L (talk) 00:19, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
