Vaughan Transit 908-909 were Grumman Flxible 870 (40102-6) buses built in 1981. They were originally delivered to Santa Clara County Transit District (SCCTD), and were acquired on long-term lease from National Refurbishing.

601 and 606 were part of a group of Grumman Flxible buses acquired used by National Refurbishing in the mid-1990s. These units were previously on long-term lease to Brantford Transit, and were leased by Vaughan Transit from 1998 until approximately 2001 alongside 601, 606 and 907; most units went to York Region Transit following amalgamation.
