By the end of September 2008, all buses in this series had the new livery applied. 611-614 and 616-618 initially had white Y logos, but were removed after pieces of the logo started peeling off the bus. Because of the repainting process, most units bear fleet numbers in an unusual font, size or placement.

York Region Transit 610-618 is wheelchair accessible.

York Region Transit 610-618 are New Flyer Industries D40LF buses built and delivered in 2006. They were ordered to replace older buses and increase service.

As YRT was about to introduce new branding, all units were initially delivered plain white with old-style YRT logos. 610 and 611 received test liveries in early 2007, with 610 first wrapped with a gradient scheme and 611 painted into a scheme more closely resembling the final scheme. Both had large blue YRT logos on their sides (see 611's picture), with one of 611's logos being white. 610 was unwrapped and repainted into the final version of the scheme a few months after being experimentally wrapped. By the end of September 2008, all buses in this series had the new livery applied. 611-614 and 616-618 initially had white Y logos, but were removed after pieces of the logo started peeling off the bus. Because of the repainting process, most units bear fleet numbers in an unusual font, size or placement until refurbishment.

582-585, 605-609, and 610-615 were initially assigned to Southwest Division until August/September 2008, when they were sent to other divisions. 582-585 and 605-606 were sent to Southeast Division in exchange for nothing, while 607-609 and 610-615 were sent to North Division in exchange for 619-621, 623, and 713-717.

This series of buses began their mid-life refurbishment starting winter 2016, and completed by summer 2017.

These buses are normally found on 1 Highway 7, 2 Milliken, 8 Kennedy, 9 9th Line, 14 14th Ave, 16 16th Ave, 18 Bur Oak, 22/22A King City, 24 Woodbine, 25 Major Mackenzie, 31 Aurora North, 32 Aurora South, 33/33A Wellington, 40 Unionville Local, 41 Markham Local, 42 Berczy, 44 Bristol, 45 Mingay, 50 Queensway, 52 Holland Landing, 55/55B Davis Drive, 56 Gorham-Eagle, 57/57A Mulock, 58 Mount Albert, 80 Elgin Mills, 81 Inspiration, 82 Valleymede, 83/83A Trench, 86 Newkirk-Red Maple, 90/90B Leslie, 91/91A/91B/91E Bayview, 98 Yonge, 99 Yonge, Markham GO Shuttles, Richmond Hill GO Shuttles, and school specials.
