History
The VIP 2200 was marketed on Diamond Coach's website as early as 1999, offering seating for up to 21. The VIP 2200 was, and is, primarily marketed towards parking shuttle operators, as it can be configured to seat 15 or fewer passengers. Above this threshold, the driver is required to hold a 'Commercial Drivers License' or CDL. The VIP 2000 can be fitted with a wheelchair lift. When equipped, the VIP 2200 is designated the PT 2200, with PT standing for 'Paratransit'.
