The General Motors T8H-5307A was a 40 foot New Look built from 1971 to 1977 in the United States and 1973 to 1986 in Canada. It used the 8-cylinder Detroit Diesel 8V71N diesel engine and featured air conditioning.
The last order was built in 1985/86 for Santa Monica Municipal Bus Lines. This order was also the last of the New Look line of buses produced. These buses featured a 6V92TA engine instead of the standard 8V71N due to California emission legislation. Many buses from this order found their way into Canada and on to second owners via Mississauga Truck and Bus, who retrofitted some with 6V71N engines.
