The Transportation Manufacturing Corporation RTS-08 (sometimes nicknamed the "Chicago-Style RTS" as it was originally produced based on specifications for the Chicago Transit Authority) is a variant of the RTS with a wider front door to acomodate a wheelchair lift. It is easily spotted by a different front end and the presence of a slide-glide front door unlike previous RTS models. The widened front door resulted in a redesigned and flatter windshield. After Nova Bus took over production, the RTS-08 was replaced by the RTS-06 WFD.
