Williamsburg Area Transit Authority

Williamsburg Area Transit Authority, or WATA, is a bus system serving the city of Williamsburg, James City County, and York County in Virginia.

History

  • Established in 1977 as James City County Transit.
  • In 2003, this bus system was renamed to Williamsburg Area Transport as part of its regional focus.
  • In 2006, Williamsburg Area Transit Authority was formed.
