Centennial GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is located behind Centennial Community Centre, on the northwest corner of McCowan Rd. and Bullock Dr.
The station is of a very basic design, with only a station platform and no station building. The main platform is on the south side by the community centre, and a portion of their parking lot is dedicated to GO riders. Fares may only be purchased from a Ticket Vending Machine or from bus drivers.
History
Centennial was built primarily due to the proximity to Markville Mall as well as taking overflow from the existing Markham and Unionville stations.
In Fall 2011, a new parking garage was opened next to the platform. This was the first Stouffville Line station to have a parking garage, and was necessary due to the limited space surrounding the station for additional parking.
Connecting routes
No off-street bus facilities exist at Centennial, and connections to local transit are made on McCowan Rd., while GO buses stop on Bullock Dr.
