Exhibition GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Toronto, ON. It is located underneath the Gardiner Expressway, immediately north of Exhibition Place.
The station platforms are located on the north and south sides of the tracks. A connection to Atlantic Avenue is available from the middle of the north platform, while just east of it is an underground walkway connecting the two platforms. The entrance to the Exhibition grounds, as well as a connection to the TTC's streetcar loop, is in the middle of the south platform. The ticket agent is located in kiosks along the Exhibition entrance, and is open from 12:20 PM until 8:00 PM on weekdays, and from 10:40 AM until 1:00 AM on Fridays and weekends.
History
Exhibition draws most of its ridership from its namesake Exhibition Place to the south. In previous years, trains only stopped at the station during the CNE and other major events in the grounds, but most trains currently stop year-round. The busiest time for Exhibition Station has traditionally been the CNE during the last few weeks in August, when GO runs extra trains along the Lakeshore line to handle the crowds. Additions to Exhibition Place, such as the Direct Energy Centre, BMO Field and Ricoh Coliseum, host major events that boosts ridership during other times of the year.
