Cardinal Coach Lines 1403 and 1404 were 1998 model Blue Bird TC/2000 FE. Both units featured an interior speaker/PA system.

The units were purchased brand new from Briggs Bus Sales and delivered to the Calgary branch in 1997. Both were originally purchased for exclusive use on the company's Strathcona Tweedsmuir School routes. As a result, they were initially painted white with red rubrails and featured 44 high-backed seats. The units would be repainted into school bus yellow sometime between 2005-2010, and had their seats converted to the standard bench style. Both units would also be retrofitted with 4-way warning lights as part of their repaintings. Interestingly, 1403 did not have its rubrails repainted into the standard black color, and thus operated the remainder of its service life in an all-yellow livery. Furthermore, neither unit received stop arms following their repaintings. While 1403 would eventually be retrofitted with a stop arm in 2014, 1404 spent the remainder of its service life operating on regular school routes without a stop arm installed.
