Cardinal Coach Lines 3293, 3294 and 3296 were 2003 model Thomas Saf-T-Liner EF buses, featuring short untinted windows, underfloor luggage bays, air brakes, an exterior "megaphone" style horn above the driver's window, dual roof hatches, and an internal speaker/PA system. Additionally, the units originally featured white roofs which were repainted not long after their arrivals in Canada.

The units were purchased second-hand from Durham School Services, which operated them on contract with the Pleasant Valley Community School District in Riverdale, Iowa. The units arrived at their new homes in 2008, with 3293 being stationed out of Calgary, and 3294/3296 being stationed out of Vancouver.
