First Student Canada 150502-150543

First Student Canada 150502-150543 are 2015 model Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 buses delivered in May 2014. These units, specified for charter work, were delivered in a white and black color scheme, and feature tinted windows (all of which are double-paned), air brakes, and a rooftop Mobile Climate Control HVAC unit. All units were delivered without red and amber lights. Despite being specified for charter work, all units were delivered with regular school bus bench seats.

Shortly after arriving in Calgary, the units had fleet number decals applied above the windshield and rear windows, as well as orange flag poles in the rear. Some units were briefly used for charter work within the city, with assignments including the CrossIron Mills Employee Shuttle and parking lot shuttles for the Cavalia artistic equestrian show which was occurring in Canada Olympic Park in the same month. On May 31, many units began making their way to their final destination, which is assumed to have been Fort McMurray, AB where the company operates many shuttle routes within the oil sands. By the end of June, all units were transferred out of Calgary.

In July 2018, two units (150539 and 150540) returned to Calgary; they were repainted into a standard yellow color, and had round red/amber warning lights retrofitted. Both units were based in Calgary for the 2018-19 school year, but in July 2019, 150539 was transferred to Edmonton.

Two more units (150502 and 150503) returned to Calgary in May 2019. These two units retained their white and black color and did not have any retrofits applied. While 150503 was transferred elsewhere not long after, 150502 remained in the Calgary area for about one year, being utilized on the CrossIron Mills Employee Shuttle. Once the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled this service, the unit was transferred to Taber, where it remains based as of August 2023.
