The Greater Bridgeport Transit District, or The People Mover, was the public transit provider to the City of Bridgeport and the surrounding towns and cities in Connecticut.
On December 21, 1998, it was effectively replaced by the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority after the City of Bridgeport and the Towns of Fairfield and Stratford withdrew themselves from this transit system.[1]
