First Student Canada G1149, N1165
First Student Canada G1149 and N1165 were 2000 model Thomas Saf-T-Liner EF buses featuring short untinted windows, an exterior light monitor above the driver's seat, and an interior speaker/PA system.
The units began their lives at the Thomas Built Buses factory in High Point, North Carolina before being delivered to a First Student branch in St. Louis, Missouri in late 1999 or early 2000. The units were then brought up to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where they joined the First Bus fleet in August 2006. While N1165 spent its entire service life in Saskatoon, G1149 was transferred to Calgary in February 2014, where it spent the remainder of its life.
G1149 and N1165 had at least one sister unit; 3229; which was based at the Cardinal Coach Lines operations in Calgary, AB following its exit from service in Missouri.
