Mississauga Transit 0101-0114

MiWay 0101-0114 were Orion 07.501 buses built in 2001-2002.

They were the first production Orion VIIs built, and were delivered much later than the original delivery timeframe of October 2001. Production began in July 2001, and the frames were completed by November 2001. The first three units arrived in April 2002. 0102 was the first unit to enter service, on June 17, 2002.

These units were originally plagued with problems, including a number of major fires. They were relegated to rush-hour service fairly early in their lives.

Retirement of these buses began in November 2012, earlier than the scheduled 12 year lifespan. The last 3 buses (0103, 0104 & 0110) were retired in February 2013.
