Route Details
Route 198 is a local limited service route that runs through from Riverview to Greenboro. Route operates to the Riverview every 30 minutes from River/Hunt Club and about every 60 minutes from Greenboro, Monday to Friday from 6 AM until 8 AM. Route also operates to Greenboro every 30 minutes from Riverview with 2 trips ending at Honey Gables, Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
History
December 24th, 2017
- Route 189 is renumbered to new local limited service Route 198 in preparations for the launch of the O-Train Confederation Line in 2018.
March 30th, 2020
- Due to low ridership from the COVID-19 outbreak, Route 198 will be cancelled until further notice. There are no alternative routes in close proximity.
May 3rd, 2020
- Line 2 train service at Greenboro will be replaced with Line 2 Bus service in preparations for the launch of Stage 2 LRT in 2022.
June 28th, 2020
- Route is reinstated as apart of OC Transpo's Recovery plan.
April 24th, 2022
- Will be adjusted to provide two-way peak period service between River Road and Greenboro Station.
- Two new morning peak period northbound trips and two new southbound afternoon peak period trips will be added and they will extend south of Earl Armstrong Road to start/end at Borbridge Avenue near River Road.
