History
Order
The TTC purchased 59 buses in 1977, with the order split between General Motors (GM) and Flyer Industries. GM supplied 45 New Look buses and Flyer supplied 14 D800B buses. These buses were delivered in the maroon and cream livery and had a light green interior with seats trimmed in black and pink.
Rebuild/Retirement
Buses were given the "CLRV" livery during their mid-life overhaul in the 1980s. As part of a fleet-wide retrofit, the buses had their rollsigns replaced with Luminator Matrix:MAX flip-dot signs in the early 1990s.
Nine buses were part of the Heavy Rebuild Program, and renumbered into the 2000- and 2150-series between 1997 and 2000. They were renumbered as per the order of rebuilding.
