Route 137 was a bus route operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
Route 137 was a regular limited service route that operated from Queenswood Heights to Place d'Orleans station. Route operated mostly during peak periods only, with limited trips in the mid-day and evening. There was no weekend service.
History
April 6th, 1997
- Changed to travel via Centrum instead of St. Joseph.
June 27th, 2004
- No Sunday service after 6 PM. Alternate service is available on Route 130. This was due to major budget cuts in the city’s operating budget.
September 4th, 2004
- No Sunday service. Alternative service provided by Route 130 and revised Route 135. This was due to major budget cuts in the city’s operating budget.
June 26th, 2005
- Service from 9 AM to 10 PM on Sundays is reinstated.
June 25th, 2006
- Will be added to the accessible route network.
August 31st, 2008
- Route will be renamed "Queenswood Heights" instead of "Orléans".
September 4th, 2011
- Was reduced to operate in peak periods only, with limited trips in the mid-day and evening.
- Weekend service was cancelled.
- Alternative service is available with Routes 130 and 135.
April 24th, 2016
- The last weekday leaving Place d'Orléans Station at 10:40 PM is cancelled due to low ridership.
September 3rd, 2017
- Route is renumbered to local limited service Route 37 in preparations for the launch of the O-Train Confederation Line in 2018.
