Route 185 is a bus route operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
Route 185 is a summer weekend only local limited service route that travels from LeBreton Staton to the Central Experimental Farm. It operates weekends and holidays throughout the summer, every 30 minutes, between approximately 9 AM and 5 PM.
History
September 4th, 2011
- New route created to replace a portion of Route 3 during the summer in addition to bringing more service to the Experimental Farm.
June 22nd, 2014
- Route is extended to serve Carling/Preston via Maple and Carling.
- Buses heading towards the Experimental Farm will now turn left onto LeBreton Station and Transitway then left onto City Centre then left onto Albert, then to regular routing.
June 19th, 2016
- Route no longer deviates to Albert street or the transitway due to the closure of the Transitway between Lebreton and Tunney's Pasture for LRT conversion.
June 25th, 2017
- Route is extended slightly to end at Albert/Booth due to the reallocation of LeBreton station.
June 23rd, 2019
- Will be revised near the experimental farm to travel the opposite direction via Carling, Maple, then Prince of Wales.
May 3rd, 2020
- Line 2 train service at Carling will be replaced with Line 2 Bus service in preparations for the launch of Stage 2 LRT in 2022.
June 28th, 2020
- Route will be suspended until the Experimental Farm Museum reopens.
- Will also be revised to serve Bayview Station instead of Pimisi Station to better improve connectivity with Line 2 Bus service.
