Route Details
Route 28 is a local route between Blair station and Blackburn Hamlet. Evening, Saturday and Sunday trips follow a shorter route, staying on Bearbrook to/from the Blackburn Arena.
History
June 25th, 2017
- Route 128 is renumbered to new local Route 28 in preparations for the launch of the O-Train Confederation Line in 2018.
September 2nd, 2018
- Evening and Saturday trips will follow Sunday routing, travelling directly to the Blackburn Arena via Bearbrook.
- Frequency is reduced to better match ridership.
March 30th, 2020
- Due to low ridership from the COVID-19 outbreak. Service will be reduced to:
- Every 30 minutes in the morning and afternoon peak periods and midday.
- Every 60 minutes in the evenings.
June 28th, 2020
- Will be in service and will operate the same route network that was in place from January to March 2020, with some seasonal adjustments.
December 20th, 2020
- Will arrive earlier in the morning at École secondaire publique Louis Riel, with trips departing Blair Station at 8:05 AM and 8:10 AM.
April 24th, 2022
- Morning trips will be adjusted to start at 8:09 AM, 8:18 AM, and 8:24 AM to better accommodate the 8:45 AM bell time.
- The 8:28 AM trip from Blair Station will be cancelled.
September 4th, 2022
- Several trips will be added or extended on school routes.
