747 Reverse Commute is an express bus route operated by Plymouth Metrolink in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area of Minnesota.
History
The current iteration of Route 747 was set into motion by the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Plymouth announced service changes on March 23rd, 2020[1] which went into effect on March 25th, 2020. As part of this service change, reverse commute routes 740, 741, & 742 would no longer operate, leaving route 747 as the sole option for 'reverse' commuters who needed to get to Plymouth or Downtown Minneapolis. In August 2020, the City of Plymouth announced they would be changing the routing of route 747 to more or less follow the route of the previously operating route 740.[2]
Route Details
This east-west reverse commute express bus route runs between Holly Ln N & Medina Rd and Downtown Minneapolis, with service only in the peak direction (outbound from Minneapolis in the morning, inbound to Minneapolis in the afternoon).
