9 Royal Oak Exchange / UVic is a regional/frequent/local route operated by Victoria Regional Transit System in Greater Victoria, BC.
Route description
Route 9 is a crosstown route operating along Gorge Road and Hillside Road, connecting University of Victoria and both Camosun College campuses to Royal Oak Exchange, Hillside Mall, and Tillicum Mall. Two trips run towards UVic in the morning, and two trips run towards Royal Oak in the afternoon.
History
- September 2018: Route introduced [1]
- June 2022: Eastern terminus moved to a temporary bus stop along Ring Rd situated in front of the UVic CSR building due to construction at UVic exchange
- September 2022: Eastern terminus moved back to UVic exchange. Major service reductions result in all midday trips being discontinued, and peak hour service reduced to two trips per peak period.
