Route 40 is a frequent route that serves important areas of Southeast Ottawa.
History
September 3rd, 2017
- Routes 114 and 298 are combined to become frequent Route 40.
- All trips through Greenboro travel via Tapiola Crescent.
- Service will remain the same with peak periods trips extending from Greenboro Station to Hurdman Station Monday-Friday during AM peak periods with the reverse in the PM peak.
May 3rd, 2020
- Line 2 train service at Greenboro will be replaced with Line 2 Bus service in preparations for the launch of Stage 2 LRT in 2022.
March 30th, 2020
- Due to low ridership from the COVID-19 outbreak. Service will be reduced to:
- Every 15 minutes between Elmvale and St-Laurent stations.
- Every 30 minutes along the rest of the route.
May 14th, 2020
- Additional trips added.
June 28th, 2020
- Will be in service and will operate the same route network that was in place from January to March 2020, with some seasonal adjustments.
August 30th, 2020
- Some trips will be temporarily suspended to reflect reduced ridership.
December 20th, 2020
- Some routes will continue to operate with reduced frequency due to lower ridership during the pandemic.
- Trips on weekdays are adjusted on these routes.
April 24th, 2022
- Southbound morning trips from St-Laurent Station to St-Laurent/ onroy will be reduced to every 10 minutes.
- Southbound morning trips from St-Laurent / Conroy to Greenboro Station will be reduced to every 20 minutes.
- Northbound afternoon trips from St-Laurent/Conroy will be reduced to every 15 minutes.
June 26th, 2022
- Off-peak service will be adjusted to operate along Johnston, while weekday peak service will remain along Tapiola.
