Saddle River Tours

Saddle River Tours was a former tour, charter and line operator which was based in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

The company won the Bergen County local routes from Community Coach and operated them beginning on February 19, 2018, using New Jersey Transit equipment. The company already ran routes into New York City using some of NJ Transit's 2017 MCI D4500CT coaches, including one painted to look like a bus from the 1980's. The company ran other routes with Ameribus branding using older NJT coaches.

Unable to keep up with the demands of local bus service, Saddle River returned the routes and buses to Community Coach, and soon afterward, the entire company went under, with NJ Transit taking back the newer MCI's, most of which had incorrect repairs and replacement parts from older MCI buses. The Saddle River livery is being kept alive by another NJ operator, Matador Tours, who in 2021 acquired a 2010 MCI D4505 and painted it in the 80's style livery, as bus 551.
