Transportation Manufacturing Corporation T-30 CityCruiser Serials were issued for 1979-1980 model buses.

Serials were displayed on build plates and on production lists as "9024-1 & 9024-18" for example. However, on vehicle titles they were displayed in the following format: "90241 & 902418."

Serials were issued to buses per the order done by each transit agency. The first 4 digits of the serial stay the same no matter what time period the bus was built, as they represent orders done by a specific agency. Serials were not issued in a sequential order per the build date. For example, "9001-26, 9005-3 & 9001-27" were built in sequential order in August 1979. "9001" & "9005" are designated for 2 different agencies. The remaining 2 digits represent the unit number of each order. For example: 9023-6, it was the 6th unit built for "Transit Agency A," while 9024-11 was the 11th unit built for "Transit Agency B."

Due to this method of serial distribution, TMC Unit numbers are also listed on build plates and production lists alongside the serial numbers. Unlike the serials, they are issued in sequential order per the build date. However, they do not appear on vehicle titles. For the sake of sequential organization, TMC Unit numbers are listed before the serials on this page.
