75 Saanichton / Royal Oak Exchange / Downtown is a local route operated by Victoria Regional Transit System in Greater Victoria, BC.

Route description

Route 75 serves the communities of Downtown Victoria, Uptown, Royal Oak, Brentwood Bay, and Saanichton. Its northern terminal is Saanichton Exchange, and its southern termini are Legislature Exchange and Royal Oak Exchange (during early mornings and evenings). Service is extended into Butchart Gardens during operating hours. Trips terminating at Royal Oak Exchange in the early morning and evenings usually interline with routes 30 or 31, which still provides a one-seat ride to/from Downtown Victoria.

Between Central Saanich and Brentwood Bay, southbound trips route via Wallace Dr, W Saanich Rd, Verdier Ave, Brentwood Dr, and Marchant Rd back to Wallace Dr, while northbound trips typically route via Wallace Dr, W Saanish Rd, and Stelly's Cross Rd back to Wallace Dr. Some peak northbound trips operate as "Via Verdier" following the southboard routing along Verdier to Brentwood Bay before looping around and following the normal northbound routing towards Saanichton.

During the summer, some Saturday trips operate only between Downtown and Butchart Gardens.

The first northbound trip on Sundays terminates on Keating Cross Rd at Oldfield as 75 To Keating Only. Likewise, the first southbound trip on Sundays starts at Keating Cross Rd at Kirkpatrick.

History

  • January 2022: Midday trips continue to Downtown directly and no longer interline with routes 30 or 31 at Royal Oak Exchange
  • September 2022: Southern terminus moved from Legislature Exchange Bay G to Belleville St
    • Stops on Superior at Government and Douglas at Blanshard added to northbound trips due to new routing
