Eastchester Depot (Depot Code: EC) is one of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's 30 depots. It provides the expresses buses for the eastern Bronx's express routes as well as two local routes (Formed from the split of the QBx1). It was built in 1970 for use by New York Bus Service, until it's takeover by the MTA on July 1st, 2005, which was also when the depot was dubbed "Eastchester Depot". In addition to providing buses for revenue service, Eastchester serves as the site where retired buses are parked. Reserve, and museum buses are also stored at Eastchester, as well as many buses undergoing overhauls/repairs. It is currently operated by the MTA Bus Company.
