92 Oshawa-Yorkdale is a route operated by GO Transit that serves between Oshawa Bus Terminal and Yorkdale Bus Terminal in Ontario. This is a daily service, The 92A branch is a peak period directional service, with service to Finch GO Terminal in the morning and service to Dundas & Hwy. 412 Carpool Lot in the afternoon. It is part of the Lakeshore East series of GO Transit routes.
History
Route 92 was introduced when DRT Pulse service took over the Highway 2 corridor on June 29, 2013. It replaced parts of route 94 and route 95. The 92A branch was introduced when route 98 was cancelled in early 2015.
In early 2015, Go-Anywhere height double-decker buses were introduced to select trips on the 92A branch. Due to clearance issues at York Mills and Yorkdale, they could not be operated on the 92 branch.
In September 2018, 92A service was redirected to York Mills and Yorkdale Terminals, rather than servicing Finch Terminal via Yonge Street, essentially becoming shortened trips of the 92. Service along Yonge was replaced by route 96E between Scarbrough Centre and Finch Terminals.
