Route 19 operates between Bramalea Terminal and Countryside Drive and Dixie Road. The route primarily serves Fernforest Drive and Mackay Street.

The 19 route number had not been used prior, presumably to avoid confusion with Mississauga Transit's 19 Hurontario route that operated into Brampton's Shoppers World terminal for many years.

History

  • May 16th 2005 - The new Route 19 Fernforest is introduced, as part of changes to "gridline" some main routes that had operated through residential areas. The 19 replaced the 18 Dixie's former routing on Mackay Street, Fernforest Drive, Peter Robertson Blvd, essentially replicating most of the 18's north end routing to Trinity Common Mall (except using Great Lakes and not Dixie) and allowing the 18 to shift most of its route at the north end into Dixie Road proper (and bypass Trinity Common Mall). The 19 also replaced the 15 Bramalea's former routing around Hilldale Crescent and Central Park Drive, allowing the 15 shift more of its route onto Bramalea.

Vehicles

Buses that can appear on Route 19 include Nova Bus LFS SmallAccessible.gif and New Flyer XD40 SmallAccessible.gif.
