Route Details

Route 57 serves the Blair Road neighbourhood. It also connects to Ainslie Terminal and Conestoga College's Cambridge and Doon Campuses.

From Ainslie Terminal, buses operate via north on Ainslie Street, west on Main Street, north on George Street, northwest on Sunset Boulevard, west on Bismark Drive, northwest on Blair Road, west on Fountain Street, through Conestoga College Cambridge Campus, west on Homer Watson Boulevard, and north on Conestoga College Boulevard to Conestoga College Doon Campus. Buses in the opposite direction follow the reverse routing to Blair and Bismark, then continue southeast on Blair Road, east on Park Hill Road, south on George Street, east on Main Street, and south on Ainslie Street to Ainslie Terminal. During the summer months, buses detour via Ainslie Street, Cedar Street, and Grand Avenue to bypass Main Street.

Buses typically interline with route 36 at Conestoga College, and with route 63 at Ainslie Terminal.

Route 57 connects to the Ion Bus at Ainslie Terminal.

History

2014 - Weekday midday service discontinued due to low ridership.
September 2019 - Route extended to Conestoga Campus, replacing route 111. Service levels increased to operate all day and on Saturdays.^[1]
