New York Transit Museum

Founded in 1976, the New York Transit Museum has an extensive collection of vehicles, exhibits, and memorabilia related to public transit in New York City. Its main site is located in the disused Court Street Station in Downtown Brooklyn.

Vintage Subway Fleet

The museum has a large collection of restored subway cars that are on a rotating display at the Court Street Station. Due to limited space at the museum, restored (and unrestored) cars are stored around the system in various yards, though most are concentrated at the Coney Island and 207th Street Yards where restoration can take place. The museum also holds various excursion runs of their vintage equipment.
