Durham Region Transit 8142-8145

Durham Region Transit 8142-8145 were Orion 05.501 buses built in 1994 and obtained by DRT in 2006. They were originally delivered new to Oshawa Transit Commission and numbered 142-145. They were renumbered and re-decalled soon after the formation of DRT.

There is seating for 38 passengers provided by fiberglass American Seating models with light blue frames and medium blue inserts. Seating behind the door in angled towards the front, followed by 2+1 seating to the rear door, and perimeter seating to the rear row. These buses have treadle operated double stream rear doors. All buses were refurbished in 2005. They were given LED exterior lighting, LED destination signs in place of rollsigns, new front step wells, and new floors.
