This route services York Mills Road and Ellesmere Road. There is one western terminal, which is York Mills Station. Eastern terminals include Kingston Road and Port Union Road for 95A and U of T Scarborough for 95B. Branch 95B only operates during the early evenings on weekdays and during the daytime on weekends.

Historic Branches
History
- September 3, 2000 - With the introduction of route 38 Highland Creek, service to Rouge Hill GO Station via Military Trail, Lawson Road, and Port Union Road is discontinued. Service to Kingston Road is redesignated from 95F to 95. Branches 95B and 95E are cut back to U of T Scarborough and the 95C branch designation is eliminated.
- November 23, 2008 - Operation changes to Wilson operating branch 95A, and Malvern operating branches 95, 95B and 95E. Previously, Malvern operated all the branches, with the exception of the first three PM trips which were provided by Wilson.
- August 2, 2009 - Route is made accessible and equipped with bike racks.
- July 30, 2012 - Express stop added in both directions at Bayview Avenue.
- September 1, 2013 - Branch 95A to Victoria Park discontinued and replaced with the new branch 95C to Ellesmere Station, with full operation by Wilson.
- June 22, 2014 - Branch 95 to Kingston Rd is changed to 95A due to a system-wide reorganization of route branch designations.
- June 21, 2015 - Route is added to the Ten Minute Network. With service increases during the late evening on weekends, service between York Mills Station and Military Trail will operate at intervals of ten minutes or better whenever the subway is open.
- April 1, 2018 - Malvern now operates fully on all branches.
- November 18, 2018 - With the implementation of the TTC's Express Network, express branch 95E was replaced with route 995 York Mills Express
.
- March 31, 2019 - New midday service during the weekdays on route 995 York Mills Express will replace service on branch 95B, and new weekday midday service introduced on branch 95C.
- October 10, 2021 - As part of the Annual Service Plan 2021, branch 95A is extended east from Ellesmere Loop to Sheppard Avenue East/Port Union Road via Kingston Road. Buses loop via Sheppard Avenue East, Dunford Road, and Rylander Boulevard.
- January 8, 2023 - Service on Branch 95C is discontinued, with service replaced by extended route 996 service.
Overnight Service
Overnight service is provided by 395 York Mills between Yonge Street and Meadowvale Road, including the U of T Scarborough Campus. The rest of the route does not have overnight service, however, this route operates until 1:00 AM every day.
Express Service
Express service on York Mills Road and Ellesmere Road is provided by 995 York Mills Express between York Mills Station and U of T Scarborough.
