Sound Transit East Link
East Link is the Sound Transit light rail project that starts in downtown Seattle and extends east across Lake Washington to Mercer Island, Bellevue, and Overlake.
East Link was voter-approved in 2008 and construction started in 2015. An additional Operations and Maintenance Facility OMF East is being built as part of this extension.
East Link is 14 miles long and adds 10 additional stations to the Link light rail system. It is expected to open in 2023 and become a part of the 2 Line that will eventually stretch from Mariner Station to Redmond Station
Route Details
The routes starts at International District / Chinatown Station, via I-90 floating bridge, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Overlake to get Redmond Technology Station.
