- February 8, 1987 - Route begins operation from Bloor to Queens Quay loop, with service provided by buses.
- February 16, 1992 - Service is eliminated.
- September 6, 2015 - Route begins operation as part of an initiative to expand the Blue Night Network. Service is now provided by streetcars.
- January 3, 2016 - Route is declared fully accessible.
- September 3, 2017 - To be consistent with its daytime counterpart, the route is renumbered from 317 to 310.
