MiWay 1770-1799 are Nova Bus LFS Artic buses built in 2017.

In November 2016, as part of a negotiated procurement, Nova Bus was awarded a contract for 30 articulated buses at a cost of $26,760,006.00. Due to the short time frame for delivery required by MiWay, as well as to take advantage of Public Transit Infrastructure Fund (PTIF) funding, it was decided to enter negotiations with vendors directly rather than the standard practice of issuing a competitive tender.

Delivery began in December 2017, and the buses began entering service on May 1, 2018.

The interior features 53 passenger seats with Holdsworth Fabrics grey-base Wiggles & Rings moquette. 37 seats are 4ONE Gemini, while 16 seats are molded American Seating InSight seats. A folding wheelchair ramp is located at the front door of the bus. Rear doors are passenger operated using a wave sensor system. All windows are traditionally glazed and of the tip-in transom design. Heating, ventilation, and cooling are provided by two roof-mounted Mobile Climate Control units.

All buses in this series were based at Central Parkway garage upon delivery. In early 2021, several units were transferred to Malton.

Beginning in 2020, all buses in this series had the seating layout in the low floor section modified to increase standing capacity by replacing double seats along the driver side low floor section with single seats. Beginning in 2022, all buses in the MiWay fleet had unprotected forward facing seats blocked off or removed. These changes reduced the seating capacity from 53 to 45 seats.
